Bookstand 222
Bookstand 222 is a multidisciplinary zine series that incorporates art, literature, and photography. Created by the Creatures of Habit (me, Yi Tian, & Kedong), Bookstand 222 features 2 issues, an eponymous début (2017) and the sequel, Bitter Singles Club (2018). Eclectic by design, our zines explore a gamut of themes, from societal ennui to youthful romance. Bookstand 222 has featured in BooksActually, Singapore’s Writers Festival, TEDxYouth@RI, and Queer Zine Fest.
Bitter Singles Club
Bitter Singles Club is a naïve but earnest attempt at explaining the in-and-outs of 21st century love from the perspective of loveless teenagers. Scrappy and poignant, it conjoins poetry, comics, photo-stories and fairytales, amongst other mediums.
The emotional heart of Bitter Singles Club rests snugly in the comic strips that Mia and Ingrid share. We hope you enjoy their story.

Creatures of Habit explores the daily mundanity we face as inhabitants of a concrete jungle, and brings together a collage of different mediums - be it poetry, art, photography or journalism.
Any and all resemblances to people, events, political ideologies and inanimate objects are purely coincidental.
